Ann will guide students using alcohol washes and dry pastel techniques.  The goal will be to complete a finished painting.  At the beginning of each class there will be a brief demo and lots of individual help at your easels.

Supplies:  You should have a minimum of 30 soft pastels.  The more, the better.  I recommend you purchase a landscape set.  Sennelier Paris set is a great one.  Also Great American half stick by Richard McKinley.  Uart sanded paper 400 grit is recommended.  These supplies  must be purchased online.  Check Blick or Jerry' s Artarama.  Dakota Pastels is an excellent resource.  You will need to bring your own reference photo, drawing board, and tape.  The studio has a few easels, but if you have a portable easel, bring it.

Classes will resume in September after Labor Day.
Ann is available for workshops and demos
